Merry Christmas vs Happy holidaze

some people say i am not politically correct these days..lol

we can not have  a ‘christmas tree’ in a public space..we have holiday trees…

we cannot say ‘merry christmas’…instead we are advised to say happy holidaze

the word christmas is as bad word……….like  a “4letter” word

BAHHHHHH HUMBUG

i get being considerate and understanding of others cultures and religious beliefs….yet i do NOT get why those who celebrate Christmas have had to forget about their own traditions and culture, so not to offend. it seems a tad unfair really…to be open minded about the differences of  others but not true to our own selves.

Christmas is  not much of a religious holiday any more. What with a Santa in every mall asking kids …”what do you want for Christmas little timmy?”………….and the  list of toys, games, cell phones and  ipods grows.

before Halloween ends we are being inundated with commercials about Christmas and getting the  SHOPPING done early….maybe instead of wishing each other a MERRY CHRISTMAS or HAPPY HOLIDAZE…we should be saying….CHA CHING to the banks and stores.

kitty and i celebrate Christmas……..No…not baby jesus’s bday…and no, not the commercial aspect of it…

HO HO HO meOW

we celebrate the giving spirit,  the random acts of kindness and the gathering of family and friends and spending time just being in the moment.

so with that said

MERRY CHRISTMAS

from kitty and missb

ho ho ho

cravings

i do not hate but  seek to understand my dislikes

i do not want, i crave

i love and adore

i cry and i laugh

my desires i must feed or id starve

hello uterus plush--desire (:

my hatred fades to dislike

my wants become desires

adoration grows into love

i laugh until i cry

………….and my tears dry on my cheeks and crack with each new smile……………

christmas stockings for the homeless

Chrissy stockings….YEAR 3…..whoooooohoooooo

hello all *waves*

I hope you are all well and have had a healthy and prosperous year.

It’s year 3 for the drive and each year it is bigger.  In year one we collected enough items for 50 plus stockings to be handed out. Last year we collected enough to hand out 100 stockings plus over 50 winter coats…

It’s that time of year  when we blinding head off to the malls and stores like zombies to buy un-needed gifts for those who already have too much…..stop the madness and give to those in need.

I realize it’s a busy time of year but I do want to assure you that helping takes very little from you.

….we are not asking for money, or your time just a lil donation of old, gently used and/or new  items to help keep the homeless in TORONTO warm this winter….

I am asking all my networks for help with this years Christmas Stockings for the Homeless drive…We are collecting donations of items to put in Christmas stockings which volunteers will be handing out on Christmas Eve to homeless in and around the downtown core of Toronto…

This is a completely unaffiliated group and the only motivation is to make someone’s Christmas a little happier & warmer. There are no strings attached, religious or otherwise.

……… WISH LIST…….

Socks (wool or something thick and warm)
Hats/Toques/Earmuffs/Scarfs
