happy fatherLESS father’s day

Charles Bukowski-

genius or drunken asshole

“Great art is horseshit, buy tacos.”

“Sex is kicking death in the ass while singing.”

makes me laugh out loud

i adore his writings…

“Boring damned people. All over the earth. Propagating more boring damned people. What a horror show. The earth swarmed with them.”

have you  read his book titled “women”?
“People with no morals often considered themselves more free, but mostly they lacked the ability to feel or love.”

i can imagine my father and charles  bukowski …..sitting at one the red formica round tables at the alpine hotel out on kingston road…..

a tray of draft beers fill the table as they trade stories and yes probably a few women too…oh how they would laugh, mostly at each other and the silliness of it all

george young

just one more for the road

“There’s nothing to mourn about death any more than there is to mourn about the growing of a flower. What is terrible is not death but the lives people live or don’t live up until their death. They don’t honor their own lives, they piss on their lives. They shit them away. Dumb fuckers. They concentrate too much on fucking, movies, money, family, fucking. Their minds are full of cotton. They swallow God without thinking, they swallow country without thinking. Soon they forget how to think, they let others think for them. Their brains are stuffed with cotton. They look ugly, they talk ugly, they walk ugly. Play them the great music of the centuries and they can’t hear it. Most people’s deaths are a sham. There’s nothing left to die.”
—The Captain Is Out to Lunch and the Sailors Have Taken Over the Ship, 1998

happy father’s day dad…love you and miss you and our bleathering sessions

“Some people never go crazy. What truly horrible lives they must lead.”

C. Bukowski
