labels lables lables..i cannot get away from them this week!
life without labels would be difficult yes, we need names for things i understand this…
but why so many?
why do we try so hard to be different?
and now BIO male??

to say one is straight…are they sexually straight or square peg straight, or straight edge.
oi! the confusion of it all

when i was a  “tween”  my dad would buy me the “latest trends” from bi way…not the brand name stores…. i grew up knowing i was wearing knock offs and that my dad did not care much for what others thought.  happily that has rubbed off on me…now it’s war.
i cut labels out of clothes..they are itchy
i buy second hand when i can or host clothing exchanges
i refuse to self label my sexuality
i will not be pigeon holed by some term
…i was given my label at birth and it is WHO I AM

prada, holt renfrew, cartier, lacosta, jock, preppy, outdoorsy, introvert, cat person, dog person, artistic, punk, rocker, goth, emo, new age, kinkster, asexual, slut, intellect, royalty, poor, uneducated, well travelled, religious, not religious, catholic, muslim, taoist, obese, athletic, cute, ugly, facebooker, spammer, blogger…and the list continues……all these word have pre established meaning attached to them and when one is used to describe a person they get lumped into that meaning by society and thus become “labeled”

so for the record…
i am me , a developing, living, experiencing  and  eclectic person…and i will still be me at the end of this game.

“The joy of Being, which is the only true happiness, cannot come to you through any form, possession, achievement, person, or event-through anything that happens.  That joy cannot come to you-ever.  It emanates from the formless dimension within you, from consciousness itself and thus is one with who you are.”

Eckhart Tolle
